Clear cell carcinoma of the anterior abdominal wall secondary to iatrogenic endometriosis

Clear cell carcinoma of the anterior abdominal wall secondary to iatrogenic endometriosis: A 48 year-old female with history of endometriosis and pelvic pain presented to an outside facility with an abdominal mass. Her past surgical history was significant for Caesarian section, as well as a supra-cervical hysterectomy with partial bladder resection for endometriosis involving the bladder. The procedure was completed through a low transverse incision. Five years later, the patient developed a palpable abdominal mass at the site of her surgical incision. Imaging revealed a 7  × 5 cm multi-septated cystic lesion on the anterior abdominal wall musculature above the pubic symphysis. (Source: The Journal of Minimally Invasive Gynecology)
