Steroid use in cervicofacial infection

Steroid use in cervicofacial infection. A Maxillofacial Trainee Research Collaborative (MTReC) project: Introduction: Defining current inpatient management of cervicofacial infections is key to identifying strategies to optimise management. Steroid use is beneficial in peritonsillar abscess and orbital abscess, but there are no studies of steroid use in odontogenic cervicofacial infections. Our previous research identified widespread variation in practice, necessitating a national project to define current practice. (Source: The British Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery)
