Re: PLASTA National Webinar Series: A developing model for remote surgical education
We enjoyed the recent publication on the growth of high-quality webinar-based teaching from the Plastic Surgery Trainees Association (PLASTA)1 and would like to offer some reflections. We agree webinars have many advantages in terms of cost, accessibility, convenience as well as the ability to place experts in niche areas of Plastic Surgery right into the homes of trainees. Even illustrious educational institutions2 hark that web-based teaching is a welcome evolution of the humble lecture, but returning...

Comment on: “A structured pathway for accelerated postoperative recovery reduces hospital stay and cost of care following microvascular breast reconstruction without increased complications”.

Letter comments on: “Impact of MSLT-II on lymph node clearance surgery in a tertiary plastic surgery centre”
We read with great interest the findings of Mr Nikkhah's1 team and would like to commend them on their results. What is really striking is the total number of malignant melanoma related lymph node clearances performed in the last year (10). We recognise that this figure does not reflect dissections related to other cancers (eg head and neck). Dickson et al2 reviewed all the regional lymph node dissections related to skin cancer performed in 2012 in the South-West region of England with a catchment...
